In addition to sweeping chimneys, Dirty Bristles Chimney Sweep, Inc., offers a broad variety of services.
Jeff St.Cyr holds a Certified Master Chimney Technician certification from Certified Chimney Professionals (CCP) and is a licensed gas technician in Maine.
Ethan St.Cyr is also a Certified Chimney Professional.
Dirty Bristles Chimney Sweep, Inc., services any brand of gas, wood or pellet stove, insert or fireplace.

Our Services
Chimney Sweeping
Standard sweeps start at $200. Prices go up based on how dirty the chimney is.
A full inspection is included with each sweep.
Clogs or blockages will be priced individually.

Wood Inserts with a partial liner will start at $425. The complete unit and partial liner need to be removed for proper cleaning.
​
Tulikivi fireplaces, masonry heaters and other Russian style fireplaces will be billed according to sweep complexity and number of heat exchangers.

Pellet inserts with full liner will start at $295
Project Site Checks
A site check to evaluate for a project for a local stove shop can be done free of charge. We try to add site checks into already scheduled areas.

A complete estimate of labor and materials will be provided by the stove shop.

Inspections
Inspections:
A full inspection without a sweep will start at $125. IF a camera is needed for further inspection, prices are below
Real Estate Inspections:

A full LEVEL II inspection of all chimneys and stoves in the home.

IF a chimney cannot be viewed properly for a real estate transaction, a sweep may be scheduled for a later date AFTER the closing.

Cleanings
Standard full-service yearly cleaning of pellet stoves start at $265.
A full cleaning of the stove, the venting and the intricate parts within is part of the yearly service.
Pellet furnaces will be serviced for a minimum of $300.
Pellet inserts with full liner will start at $295
Gas Stoves or Fireplaces Service
and Maintenance
Standard full-service yearly cleaning of gas fireplaces start at $265.
Standard full-service yearly cleaning of direct-vent, natural-vent or vent-free gas stoves start at $220.
Gas Services of fireplaces and stoves will start with the diagnostic charge listed below and then be billed after parts are ordered at the standard gas service rate of $120/hour minimum one hour.
Diagnostic
A first appointment to diagnose a wood or gas stove BEFORE parts are ordered and replaced is $75.
A full cleaning may be required to service a gas unit, and charged at prices above. An additional service appointment to replace parts will be billed at standard labor rates of $120/hr. min 1 hr, based on type of stove.
A 50% deposit is required to order parts.
A first appointment to diagnose a pellet stove BEFORE parts are ordered and replaced is $245.
A full cleaning of the unit and venting is required in order to properly diagnose a pellet appliance.
If your pellet stove/insert requires parts or further repair, each repeat visit will be charged at the current pellet service rate of $120/hr. min 1 hr.
A 50% deposit is required to order parts.
